Weekly Weigh in #6!!!!!

Here we are, 6 weeks! I can't believe how far I've come in just 6 WEEKS! Anywho, let's get to it :)

I didn't think this was going to be a great week.. I haven't necessarily been 'bad' just not as good as I could have been. I've been eating the calories I earn exercising because I've just been STARVING. I still don't see a lot of progress on my body, but slowly but surely it IS changing. It seems like I get emails every couple days from somebody else telling me that I've inspired them to get healthier, and I can't believe the amount of support I've gotten from everybody! Thank you ALL. I started this journey in a size 20 jeans, then moved to an 18, and then a 16...and in another week or two I'll need to move down to a 14 because my 16's aren't fitting quite right anymore! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Weekly Weigh in #5!!!!!

Next goal: Break into the 170's! I'm so excited to have lost 20lbs, and in 5 weeks, and the RIGHT way, the healthy way! No fad diets, didn't starve myself, I eat right and I exercise and it works, it really works people :) 20lbs down, 30lbs to go!

Weekly Weigh in #4!!!!!

So I haven't been posting my food diary because I've been doing it on my phone, but I'm back for our weekly weigh-in and I'm SO excited!

For a weekly weight loss of

17.6 pounds

and a total percentage of weight lost of
8.4%!!!!!

I could tell my body was different, things fit different and I'm in a size 16 pant (down from a 20 when we started this) but I am SO glad I decided to take pictures. I've never been as proud as looking at these 2 pictures, in just 4 WEEKS!

Bonefish grill. There's a story here....I ordered the snake river rainbow trout... just the grilled kind, told him no butter, with chimichurri sauce, and double vegetables as my sides, also no butter. By the time our food came out, both boys had been screaming and we just wanted out of there. Well, he put in the parmesan pistachio crusted rainbow trout... NOT the one I ordered. He did make sure they left off the lemon butter sauce, but still.... more calories than necessary. That being said, I was only at about 730 calories for the day before dinner... and my veggies were butter free and totaled no more than 60 calories or so.... so I should still be good for the day.. but I was aggravated because I was really good, I ordered just like I should have and he flubbed it up, on the ONE day I just couldn't wait for them to fix it. Even if it was 700 calorie fish (highly doubtful) I'd be good for the day so I'm not gonna worry too much.

Ohh myy gosh what a day. Koen was up most of the night, I was up by 5:30, Koen fussed most of the day (poor kid is already teething). Kye was a brat and had a few blowout diapers from all the juice he drank yesterday. Both boys screamed all the way through me trying to cook dinner.Kye chunks a diet cherry dr pepper at the kitchen floor and it spews all over the whole kitchen and as far as the bathroom door in my dining room. Getting ready to leave with dinner the door gets caught on the broom that Kye had been messing with and I go to kick (yes, angrily) the door open to move the broom and it felt like I had dropped an anvil on my toe. Koen screams bloody murder the whole way to the firehouse, that is, until we get in the gate. Then he's an angel. We eat (though it was pointless, because Chad was eating with the other guys... wish I had known..) and then right as Koen falls asleep Chad 'takes him off my hands' so I can chase Kye all over the firehouse. Needless to say, I was stressed...and I ate. I ate a lot. Over 1000 calories on 1 meal.. and yet somehow I came in under 2000 calories for the day?! I don't see how. We came straight home and I put the boys to bed, over half an hour early. I'm tired...and the house looks worse than a real disaster zone. It's a good thing there's not any ice cream in the freezer (ok well, there's skinny cow stuff...which still isn't necessarily 'safe' tonight...). In other news, I DID go walk with Tara today. At least that was a nice break!

Cake
1 Pillsbury Sugar Free Devil's Food cake mix + 1 diet cola, bake as you would if you added the oil, egg, and water. I put mine in my perfect brownie pan so I had 18 even slices. Top with fat free cool whip (2tbs each slice) and one strawberry (I sliced and fanned them out on top to make it pretty). Makes 18 110 calorie slices of cake. Delish!

I made some sugar free sauce for the wings, and I skinned them. I'm in such a bad and tired mood I really don't feel like typing up the recipe, so I might add it on a different day.

Well, I didn't expect much this week because I've been badddddd..... BUT I still had a good healthy loss!

Another exhausting night! Koen slept great, so that must mean Kye has to keep me up! I took a nap this morning but Koen wasn't very keen on it so it was interrupted a few times. Then it started pouring rain come time to walk, so I didn't get to walk today. Pile all that on top of me making almost 100 candy topped brownies for the firehouse and me giving into temptation with a half a brownie, today hasn't been a good day! lol Once I figured up the brownie and how bad it really was I made sure I was extra good the rest of the day, so my total isn't bad at all, but I feel like a blob! I don't see how I ever ate how I did before. I seriously would have put 2 or 3 of those brownies in a big bowl with a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream and think NOTHING of it. With my lack of activity and increase in bad food intake today, my body just doesn't feel good! Weigh-in in the morning. If it goes anything like these last couple of days have (as in, scale creeping back up) it won't be my favorite weigh-in, but we shall see.

Not a ton to say today, after a 2 day break I walked 4 miles with Tara, it makes me feel SO much better. It's always hard to motivate myself to do it, but I'm always so glad I did! I've been much better today with my calories (though I might eat a skinny cow bar... so that'd be another 100, but still a great total). My new favorite kitchen item is the 3 tier steamer! Food tastes better, and I love that I can put everything in (like today, the rice, veggies, and shrimp) and leave it to cook! Very easy! Well, that's pretty much it for the day... everybody have a great weekend...and be good with those superbowl snacks! lol

Arrghhh today wasn't my best day. 1st, it's SO cold. Then it was pouring rain, so walking was out. It worked out anyway because we ended up furniture shopping and running around town all day. I've eaten a couple hundred more calories today than usual which wouldn't normally make me feel too bad but the 2 days running with hardly any exercise makes me feel like a blob. Hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow so me & Tara can go walking, I REALLY need it. I was doing pretty good most of the day and then we went to go to Bonefish for dinner and there was like an hour wait and it was already 7pm and we were starving, so we went to Panera and I got a turkey sandwich which I knew to be 440 calories and DID NOT order it with chips...well when we got home they put chips in both our bags....sooo I ate them :( I am ashamed of myself! lol I did so good not to order them, and then there they were. Completely back on track tomorrow (not that today's total was too bad anyway... but still). I'm starting to feel like this week won't be my best week for weight loss!

Long day! The boys had me and Chad up a lot last night, so I didn't get very much sleep at all. I took a nap when Kye did this morning, but it wasn't the good quality sleep I had hoped for. I woke up still feeling really tired. I had to walk to the firehouse (about a half mile) to get the car from Chad, and I was arguing with myself as to whether or not to do our usual 4 mile walk first. I talked myself out of it, and then back in. So we set off (though I literally turned around and walked a good 20 feet before turning back around SEVERAL times). Finally convinced myself to walk and get about a 1/4 mile down the road and hear my name. 2 of my good friends were at the park with their kiddos... so I took it as a sign that I wasn't supposed to walk today and let Kye play and got some chit chat in. I still walked about a mile total, but not at the fast pace I usually do. It's supposed to cool off some tomorrow but I WILL get my 4 miles in! I am very happy with the numbers on the scale and hope they keep doing what they're doing so I can have an awesome report for Sunday :) One last thing- 3 tiered food steamer=AWESOME. I anticipate many a meal to be cooked in it!

Today hasn't been my healthiest day in the diet, I made some homemade salsa and just had that and chips for lunch...and I've had a major lack of fruits and vegetables and a major overload of carbs :( I haven't really felt like cooking today after grocery shopping this morning (funny how a new fridge full of food makes you NOT want to cook right? lol) and then our 4 mile walk this afternoon. I was afraid we were going to get rained on during our walk, but we made it! Pushing a double stroller, with rain/wind cover on in average winds of 23mph with gusts up to 31mph is HARD work! But I enjoyed it nonetheless! Not much else to say, see you all tomorrow :)
